FORT MILL -- Mrs. Stella Awilda Bowdler, 80, died Monday, April 21, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Fort Mill Funeral Home, with the Rev. Art Gatewood officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Cemetery.
A native of Athens, Ohio, Mrs. Bowdler was a daughter of the late Fred and Leona Buck Hawk. She was an active member in the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion and the Elk's Club. She was a past volunteer worker at the Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio. She was a very loving and caring woman who made everyone laugh. She will be missed very much and never forgotten. She was the widow of William D. Bowdler.
Surviving are her two sons, Ronald Keith Walters II of Fort Mill, S.C., and Donald Barry Walters of Emmetsburg, Iowa; four daughters, Carla Kay Koepp of Elyria, Ohio, Charlene Hope Hart of Charlotte, N.C., Deborah Lynn Moore of Indian Land, S.C., and Norma Frances Perkins of Rockingham, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
