ROCK HILL -- Charles Odell Crimminger, 81, of 331 Community Street, passed away Friday, May 30, 2008, at his residence.
A native of York County, Mr. Crimminger was born October 20, 1926, a son of the late Julia and Lula Jane Evans Crimminger. He was a tree maintenance supervisor, a U. S. Navy WWII veteran and of the Freewill Baptist faith. Mr. Crimminger was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Young Crimminger, and two daughters, Vickie Belk and Betty Cunningham; a son, L. C. Crimminger; and two brothers, J. W. and Mody Crimminger.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Helms; a daughter, Debra Aycoth of Fort Mill; five grandchildren, Eva Ashworth, Chasity and Jason Aycoth; and Joe Taylor and Lora Smart; also eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the residence.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Crimminger will be held 3 p.m. Monday at Glen Rock Baptist Church in Fort Mill.
