ROCK HILL -- Mr. Louis Smith, 74, of 2740 Dunlap Roddey Road passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008, at his home.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God, with the Rev. Bernie Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road.
A native of Monroe, N.C., Mr. Smith was a son of the late Fredy Bradley Smith and the late Georgia May Hill Smith. He was employed with Rock Hill Printing & Finishing for 40 years and retired from Celanese. He attended First Assembly of God and loved his garden.
Surviving are his wife, Margie Lenora Cook Smith; four sons, Lewis Wayne Smith and Captain Darryl Ray Smith, both of Rock Hill, Kenneth Bradley Smith of Edgemoor and Christopher Scott Smith of Chester; three brothers, Howard Jackson Smith of Lake Jackson, Texas, Howard Lee Smith of Belmont, N.C., and Franklin D. Smith of St. Mary's, Ga.; five sisters, his twin, Lois Smith Cook, Brenda Anderson, Mary Smith and Terry Silvers, all of Rock Hill and Barbara Ann Scurry of Chester; five grandchildren, Jason Lee Smith, Carrie Frances Smith Perkins, Christie Danielle Smith Wood, Amary Darlene Smith Doehlins and Hannah Lyn Smith; and six great-grandchildren, Nicolas Lee Smith, Zachary Lee Smith, Christopher Lee Smith, Destiny Marie Smith, Madison Marie Perkins and Kolby Ray Perkins.
