ROCK HILL -- Mr. Michael Devonne "Red" Long, of 713 Finley Road, died Friday, June 20, 2008, at Hospice and Community Care.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Boyd Hill Baptist Church, with Pastor J. Thomas Barber officiating and Pastor Tony Greene delivering the eulogy. Burial will be at Barber Memorial Cemetery.
A native of Rock Hill, he was the son of the late Gus Long Sr. and Hattie Kirkland Long Whitlock. He attended Northwestern High School and was formerly employed with Quick C Exxon Car Wash. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by two sisters, Cynthia R. Long and Doris Jennings (Wayne Sr.), both of Rock Hill; one stepsister, Toni Faust of Rock Hill; three brothers, Gus Long Jr., Quinton Long (Pamela), and Stephone Long (Cynthia), all of Rock Hill.
Mr. Long may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home and from 12 p.m. until time of the service Wednesday at the church. The family will receive friends at the home.
