KERSHAW -- Ms. Annie Ruth Barrett "Boots" Rollings, 79, of 8043 Flat Rock Road, Kershaw passed away Monday, July 7, 2008, at her home. She was born July 3, 1929 in Kershaw, a daughter of the late Wesley Barrett and Mary Cauthen Barrett. She was retired from Springs Industries with over 30 years of service as a weaver and she was the first female loom fixer ever employed by Springs. After the age of 50, she attended Lancaster High School and received her high school diploma. Following her retirement from Springs, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant with Home Health. She was a member of Wade Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class.
A service to celebrate the life of Ms. Rollings will be held today, July 10, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Wade Memorial Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. William B. Sumner and the Rev. Keith Coates officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.
Ms. Rollings is survived by a son, James William Rollings and his wife, Maria, of Stallings, N.C.; three daughters, Geraline Crisco and her husband, Charles, of Lancaster, Huberta Rollings and her husband, Zane, of Kershaw and Amyree Yarborough and her husband, David, of Fort Lawn; 10 grandchildren, Tammy Blackmon, Jimmy Yarborough, Billy Frank Yarborough, Crystal Crisco, Charlie Crisco, Ronya Hanna, Holly Rollings, Jonathan Yarborough, Kimberly Yarborough and Ronnie Adams; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Page Barrett.
