McCONNELLS -- James L. "Lebo" Black, 58, of 1880 Burkin Road, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
A native of York County, he was born Feb. 19, 1950, a son of the late James Arthur and Mary Adkins Black. Mr. Black was a truck driver and member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Rhonda H. Black; five daughters, Kellie Black and her husband, Chris Griggs, of McConnells, LeAnn Black and her husband, Marc Jackson, of Rock Hill, Tosha Black, Brandy Green and her husband, Don Green, and Tiffany Black, all of McConnells; one brother, Billy D. Black of McConnells; one sister, Sandra Elaine Tucker of McConnells; and seven grandchildren, Miranda, Brandon and Justin Griggs, Heather, Ashley and Zackary Green and Haley Black.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mr. Black will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Bethesda Presbyterian Church cemetery, with the Rev. Daniel Smoke officiating.
