SMYRNA-- A. J. Alexander, 84, of 615 McKnight Road, died Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday July 15, 2008, at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The Rev. Ray Reavis will be officiating.
A native of Smyrna, S.C., A. J. was a son of the late Arthur J. and Martha Brown Alexander. He was a lifelong member of New Zion United Methodist Church. He worked in the print shop at Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Co. for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Blackwelder Alexander of Smyrna; one son, Jerry Alexander of Mauldin, S.C.; one daughter, Carol Lathan of Smyrna; two sisters, Ollie Sims of Spartanburg, S.C. and Marie White of Clover, S.C.; one granddaughter, Wendy Catledge; and one great-grandson, Garrett Catledge.
