CHESTER -- Mrs. Anita Carolyn Counts Wylie, 66, of 108 Henry Woods Drive, died Monday, July 14, 2008, at Providence Hospital in Columbia, S.C.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chester Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Clint Davis and Dr. Dwight Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Wylie was born Sept. 4, 1941, in Salem, Va., a daughter of the late Haskell L. and Evelyn King Counts. She was deputy treasurer for Chester County serving under treasurer Pete Nunnery. She was a graduate of Petersburg High School in Petersburg, Va. She was a member of Chester ARP Church, where she taught Sunday School and was very active in other church activities and was also very active with the Chester Little Theatre.
She is survived by her husband, W. Alex Wylie; four daughters, Jessica L. Wylie, Sarah K. and her husband, Derek Johnson, Rachel A. and her husband, Talmadge Johnson and Marcia L. Addison, all of Chester; two brothers, H. L. Counts Jr. and his wife, Nina, of Tazewell, Va., and Richard P. Counts of Wythville, Va.; one sister, Kathryn McGovern of Ovieda, Fla.; one granddaughter, Katie Johnson; and best friend, Alice Addison of Chester.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the home of Jessica L. Wylie, 148 West End St.
