CHESTER -- Mrs. Ann Foster Cassels, 67, of 551 Sherwood Circle, died Sunday, at Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Clay Waldrep officiating. Interment was private.
Mrs. Cassels was born June 25, 1941, in Canton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ray Blaine and Carria Sue Nesbitt Foster.
She was a graduate of Chester High School and received her B. A. and M.A. degree from Winthrop College. She was an elementary school teacher and was former Chester County Teacher of the Year. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, G.A. Leader and was active in the church library.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Cassels; two daughters, Susan S. Treveiler and husband, Jack, and Ruthayn S. Burdette and husband, Jeff, of Chester; two brothers, Chester Mayor Mitch Foster of Chester and Milan Foster of Divide, Colo.; and three grandchildren, Carria, Emma and Mac Treveiler, all of Chester.
The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
