ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Lillian Wheeler Aiken, of 262 Simrill St., transition into God's Care on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center.
A native of Rock Hill, she was the daughter of the late Napoleon Wheeler and Irabelle Lineberger. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. "Buster" Aiken Sr.; son, John T. Aiken Jr.; and brother, Willie Wheeler.
Mrs. Aiken was employed by Rock Hill School District 3 and was a homemaker. Her favorite past time was reading and exercising. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Rosary Fraternity Women's Society.
She leaves to cherish her memories children, Vivian A. Stroud of Rock Hill, Janice A. Dixon of Spartanburg, S.C., Minister Phyllis A. Mayfield and Sandra A. Gordon, both of Charlotte; two sons-in-law, Pastor Daryal L. Mayfield and Edmund Gordon, both of Charlotte, N.C.; brother, Bobby Wheeler of Van Wyck, S.C.; two sisters-in-law, Ferry Pressley Aiken of Rock Hill and Betsy Lee Wheeler of Van Wyck; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relative and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 26, 2008, at Parker Funeral Home. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating.
