YORK -- Edward Cash Brimer, 89, of 111 Charlotte St. died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at Bratton Funeral Home. Pastor Carey Caldwell of Central Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
A native of York, Edward was a son of the late Floyd Brimer and Jessie Eddleman Brimer. He was the widower of Ruth Coleman Brimer. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, was retired from Cannon Mills and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by son, Edward Brimer Jr., and wife, Donna, of Sharon, S.C., daughters, Becky Cothran of York, S.C., and Karen Giles and husband, Jeff, of York, S.C.; grandchildren, Scott Duncan, Trayce Howe, Jeffrey Faris and Casha Brimer; and five great-grandchildren. Edward is also survived by three brothers, Leonard Brimer, Lewis Brimer and Floyd Brimer Jr.; and three sisters, Clota McAlister, Ruby White and Nell Schools. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Tallent, Ethel Blanton and Jessie Huffstetler.

Visitation will be held at Bratton Funeral Home on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, from 2 to 3 p.m. and other times at the home of son, Edward Brimer Jr., 2480 S. Beersheba Road, Sharon, S.C.
