Typically, coach John Fox's Friday briefings are even drier than normal. Friday, however, he broke form and said something humorous.
Asked if the presence of his starting DTs was less important this week because of New Orleans' reliance on the passing game, Fox began his answer as he usually does. He praised the work of RB Pierre Thomas, referenced some of the good things they had done, and then cut loose with the zinger.
Never miss a local story.
"It's their ball, they get to do what they want," Fox said. "They might try to run it. If I was watching last week's tape, I might too."
It might not have been Shecky Green, but it was something.
Not sure how good it looks for either of the DTs. Maake Kemoeatu (ankle) is questionable, while Damione Lewis (shoulder) is doubtful.
WR Kenny Moore (hamstring) is out, while the rest of them are all probable.
