The Panthers did the expected Tuesday, placing the franchise tag on C Ryan Kalil.
Kalil will make in excess of $10 million on a one-year deal, but it also sets the stage for a lucrative long-term deal once the terms of the new CBA are known.
It also keeps together a group that could be the strength of the team, an offensive line that features felow Pro Bowl LT Jordan Gross and dominant-when healthy RT Jeff Otah.
More to come.
