The Teen Health Center in Rock Hill is looking for eighth- and ninth-grade girls to participate in its JADE female mentoring program. The purpose of the program includes learning about health education, building self-esteem and participating in community service projects.
A pancake breakfast fundraiser for Carson Caskey, a 2-year-old who has been diagnosed with leukemia, will be from 7 to 10 a.m. July 25 at Applebee's restaurant on Dave Lyle Boulevard in Rock Hill. Donations are being accepted in a fund set up for Carson at any Founders Federal Credit Union. Tyler Caskey, Carson's father, recently lost his job as a civilian contractor in Iraq.
