Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, the Springs Close Foundation and other groups donated two truckloads of food Wednesday to the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen and pantry in honor of David Boone, one of the soup kitchen's founders. Charity organizers and volunteers said they wanted to honor Boone — who has cancer — by donating nearly $25,000 worth of food to the kitchen at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rock Hill.
