FORT MILL — American Community Bank, on the corner of Gold Hill Road and S.C. 160 in the same shopping center as Lowes Foods, was robbed around 1 p.m. today.
The suspect handed the teller a note saying he had a weapon, took an undisclosed amount of money and fled from the bank on foot on S.C. 160.
Lt. Tim Hager with the Sheriff's Office said no one was injured during the crime and that the suspect is still on the loose. The Sheriff's Office is investigating but have no leads as of this afternoon.
The suspect was described as an black male in his mid-20s, about five feet eight inches to five feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. Hager said he wore a black pullover jacket, a white bandanna over his face with blue or black designs and blue jeans with black tennis shoes.
