Duke, PBI Performance Products and Springs Creative honored for workplace safety

– Three companies in York, Chester and Lancaster counties were honored by the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance for workplace safety.
In all, the alliance honored 105 manufacturing plant sites throughout the state.
Duke Energy was honored for its Chester, Fort Mill and Lancaster operations centers.
Other York county operations honored were PBI Performance Products and Springs Creative Group.
Facilities with a low rate of incidents resulting in lost workdays, job transfers or restrictions were nominated for recognition. Plants submitting an incidence rate below the statewide average for their NAICS code received an award.
Business News• Erica Jackson has been promoted to assistant vice president of branch administration at Family Trust Federal Credit Union, where other managers have been promoted or reassigned, said Tyeshia Miller, senior vice president of member services.
Jackson, previously manager of the Family Trust branch on Albright Road, will be responsible for daily branch operations, six branch managers and branch sales management. She has a master and bachelor's degree in business from Winthrop University.
Tina Farris has been promoted to manager of the Clover branch. She has an associate’s degree in business management and a certificate in human resources from York Technical College.
Diane Teigue will be assistant manager of the Clover branch. She is a graduate of the U.S. Army Finance School and has more than 30 years of financial experience.
Marieta Moore has been promoted to assistant manager at the Dave Lyle Boulevard branch. She has a general studies degree from Colorado Technical University and is pursuing a degree in business administration from Columbia Southern University.
Renee Barnes will manage the branch on Albright Road. She has a degree in retail management from the University of South Carolina, and has a certification from the Southeastern Regional Credit Union School.
Cathie Sherer will manage the branch on Ebenezer Road. She graduated from Winthrop in 1998 with a finance degree, and also has a certification from the Southeastern Regional Credit Union School.
