Book sale: The Friends of the York County Library will host a book sale Thursday and Friday at the Pope John Center at the Oratory, 434 Charlotte Ave., Rock Hill. The preview night for Friends members will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Memberships will be sold at the door beginning at $10 for individuals and $25 for families. The sale will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Thousands of books for adults and children will be for sale, priced at $1 per inch, measuring the height of the book stack. Videos, audio books and surplus library equipment will be for sale at bargain prices. On Saturday, books will be sold at 50 cents per inch.
