Here is a list of York County summer camp opportunities that cover just about every interest, whether your child is wild about animals, a budding artist, a soccer star, theatrical on (and off) the stage, an outdoor enthusiast or a mad scientist.

Beginning Techniques in Drawing, 9 a.m.-noon, June 16-20, ages 8-11. Taught by Ashley Beard. Learn how to use basic lines and shapes to create drawings from observation and imagination using several different drawing materials.

Superheroes in Disguise, 9 a.m.-noon, June 23-27, ages 6-8. Taught by Matthew Christmus. Make your own caped crusader mask, cloak of invisibility, shield of might, wonder ring or staff of strength.

Animation Domination, 1-4 p.m., June 23-27, ages 8-14. Taught by Matthew Christmus. Create your own comic book and improve your storytelling, both in word and pictures.

Art is Multicultural, 9 a.m.-noon, July 7-11, ages 6-9. Taught by Ashley Beard. Discover how art is made all over the world, and create 2D and 3D works of art using papier-mâché, paint, cloth, recycled materials and found objects.

Trash to Treasure, 1-4 p.m., July 7-11, ages 6 and up. Taught by Ashley Beard. Using things that are usually thrown away, create wearable works of art. Camp concludes with a fashion show and performances.
