SC Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate to debate Thursday

The Democratic candidates for the unexpired term of former U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint, now held by Republican Tim Scott, will debate at 7:30 p.m. Thursday on S.C. ETV.

The debate is the third of five that The Herald, ETV and six other newspapers – The State, The Beaufort Gazette, The (Hilton Head) Island Packet, The (Myrtle Beach) Sun News, The Greenville News and The (Sumter) Item – are sponsoring.

Who? Appearing will be Richland County Councilwoman Joyce Dickerson and Myrtle Beach veteran Harold Pavlick.

What’s next? The GOP candidates for lieutenant governor will debate at 7 p.m. June 5.

And then? The GOP candidates for the U.S. Senate seat held by Lindsey Graham will debate June 7 on ETV.
