S.C. veterans commemorate D-Day with return trip to Normandy beaches where they fought as young men

On Monday, 22 World War II veterans – 18 of them South Carolina residents, including two with Rock Hill ties and one from Chester – will return to Normandy for the 70th anniversary of D-Day. They will be joined by millions of others – veterans, families and history enthusiasts from around the world – for the commemoration.
