Road repairs to Interstate 77 in York County will begin Sunday and will last through November 2015, according to the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

The repairs include repaving from mile marker 75.87 north of Porter Road to the North Carolina state line and will include all lanes, depending on the location.

Work is scheduled to start on Sunday and continue until the overnight temperature drops below 60 degrees. Work will then pick up again in May 2015.

No lanes will be closed during rush hour in the morning or evening in the direction of heavy traffic, but some lane closures will be permitted in the opposite direction of morning traffic in sections where there are eight lanes. Morning closures are also permitted on weekends.

The goal is to complete paving work by August 31, 2015, and finish all markings and rumble strip milling by Nov. 30, 2015.
