Five arrested in Chester County marijuana cases

Aerial surveillance helped the Chester County Sheriff’s Office make five arrests in two separate incidents for growing marijuana on Thursday.

Paul Sanders III and Paul Rashaad Sanders IV of 2716 Ballindam Road in Chester were arrested on drug and narcotics violations after members of the Chester County’s narcotics unit and State Law Enforcement Division observed what appeared to be a backyard marijuana growing operation.

Deputies on the ground found 15 buckets with marijuana plants next to a vegetable garden, according to a sheriff’s office report.

In the second incident, the narcotics unit and SLED observed what appeared to be marijuana at 3339 Lancaster Highway, Richburg.

Deputies on the ground found 44 plants about 100 feet from a house, according to a sheriff’s office report.

Arrested for drug and narcotics violations were Kentovian Markell White, 24; Latonia Shena Gaston, 43; and Kevin Antonio Gaston, 45.
