The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs plans to film a nationally-televised public service announcement in downtown Rock Hill next week.
City officials say the video shoot will require that some sections of Main Street and Caldwell Street close during filming. The production company plans to rent the Old Town Market Hall on Caldwell Street for the filming.
Some parts of the filming may include shots of downtown Rock Hill businesses, and city officials are encouraging pedestrian traffic in the area. Filming is expected to take place next Wednesday and Thursday but could include extra days, depending on the weather.
During the filming, access to parking and downtown roads could be a challenge for drivers as several streets are already closed due to construction around Elizabeth Lane and Main Street. Rock Hill police officers will assist will traffic control, city officials say.
