Students in the culinary arts program at Rock Hill’s Applied Technology Center on Tuesday prepared dozens of turkeys, mounds of stuffing and gallons of turkey stock to help the Christians Feed the Hungry ministry prepare for its annual Thanksgiving meal.
The ministry is still accepting donations of food and volunteers to help prepare and deliver hot meals to York County’s hungry and those in need.
“It’s late, the ninth inning, with Thanksgiving almost here,” said the Rev. Ronal King, who runs Christians Feed the Hungry. “We can always use more turkeys, more food to help people, more volunteers.”
Food will be prepared through Thursday morning by volunteers at Rawlinson Road Baptist Church, 1024 Rawlinson Road. Volunteers will deliver meals starting at 9 a.m. Thursday and throughout the day.
