Man tried to hide stolen wallets from Rock Hill store in his underwear, police say | The Herald

A 35-year-old man stole about $162 worth of wallets and other items from a Rock Hill store before trying to conceal them in his pockets and underwear, according to police.

According to a Rock Hill police report, Richard Bigham was charged with shoplifting at Kohl’s off Dave Lyle Boulevard after police saw him opening boxes, placing unpurchased wallets into the cargo pockets of his shorts and tearing tags off of items.

Items, valued at $162.94 were recovered from Bigham’s pockets and inside his underwear, the report states. Bigham was taken to Rock Hill City Jail.

The incident is cleared by arrest.
