Children in local hospitals will get a special, fuzzy friend this Valentine’s Day thanks to York high school students.
York Comprensive High School students on Wednesday will deliver 448 Build-A-Bear stuffed animals to three children’s hospitals in the Charlotte area, according to the York school district.
The students will visit Levine Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House and Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital.
Thirty-one students on the high school’s student council will deliver the bears, which were made as part of a two-month long project to “provide comfort to children in need of an extra boost,” the release states.
Never miss a local story.
