A man was robbed at gunpoint at a York convenience store over the weekend, according to a York Police report.The man, 45, told police that around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday he was leaving the Pride Quick Stop on South Congress Street when a man approached him and demanded money. The suspect showed the victim a handgun and then reached into the victim’s front pocket and took all of his cash, the report states. The robber began to walk away, but came back and took the victim’s cell phone so he couldn’t call police, the report states.The suspect fled the scene in a burgundy car with several other individuals. The victim was able to contact police moments later. He told them he knew the suspect by a nickname and was able to identify him out of a photo lineup. The investigation is ongoing.
