A York woman allegedly hit her mother in an argument over food stamps on Nov. 23, according to a York Police report.
The report states the woman, 27, struck her mother, 44, in the face because she refused to let the daughter use her food stamp card.
But the daughter told police her mother fell and hit her face on something. She said the women argued after she invited her mother to Thanksgiving dinner. But she denied attacking her mom.
The mother declined to press charges, but asked the police to document the incident. The daughter agreed to stay away from her mother for awhile, according to the report.
