At least six cars were broken into along Highway 161 in York County earlier this week, police say.
Early Monday morning, a man noticed the trunk on his 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier was open, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report. Several items, including speakers, a speaker box and a tool case were missing.
The man walked to a neighbor’s house and noticed the neighbor’s car door also was open, the report states.
One of the neighbors reported someone broke into his Chevrolet truck and his wife’s Nissan, according to reports. A cooler, two trash bags containing clothes, the woman’s purse and more items were stolen.
A woman on the same street also told deputies her and her daughter’s cars had been broken into, with a GPS unit, bag of make-up, dried fruit, phone chargers, digital camera and more taken.
The reports do not list if the incidents are related.
