A York man found with grass in his hair and on his back was charged with indecent exposure after a neighbor found him performing sexual acts on himself in her yard last week, deputies say.
At about 8:50 a.m. July 15, deputies responded to a Mission Road home and spoke with a woman, 56, who said that her neighbor was lying on the ground nude next to her house, performing sexual acts, according to a York County Sheriff’s report.
She told police the man identified himself and claimed he had been up all night and did not realize she was home, the report states. The woman then went inside her house and called police.
She told officers the man, 44, lived in a log house behind her home that’s separated by “a lot of woods,” the report states.
A K9 unit tracked the man to his Sharon Road home less than a half-mile away and found him with grass in his hair and on his back, the report states. Deputies arrested him, charging him with indecent exposure and trespassing.
According to the report, the man exercised his right to remain silent while an officer read his Miranda rights. He was released from jail on a $970 bond under the condition that he is to have no contact with his neighbor.
Court records indicate this is his first criminal offense in York County.
