Fish fry planned for PATH
YORK Charles Plemmons and friends will present a fish fry to benefit the PATH thrift store from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 27.
PATH, or People Attempting to Help, serves needy families in the York school district. The thrift store, which supports the charity, is at 35 S. Congress St.
Cost is $4 for a sandwich and soda. The event will be in the thrift store parking lot.
Western county NAACP to meet
YORK The Western York County branch of the NAACP executive board will meet 6 p.m. June 26 at Wesley United Methodist Church in York.

Cabin Creek to perform at Allison Creek
YORK Allison Creek Bluegrass will feature the music of Cabin Creek from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Allison Creek Presbyterian Church, S.C. 274 between Lake Wylie and Newport.
Doors open 6 p.m. Concessions are available 6:30 p.m. The event is free.
HIV testing offered
ROCK HILL In recognition of National HIV Testing Day, Catawba Care will host a free screening event 9 a.m.-5 p.m. June 27.

Family resource clinics open this month
YORK COUNTY Family Resource Centers medical clinics will be open in June to assist students who are uninsured or under-insured.
Due to the high demand for physicals, parents must make an appointment and accompany the student to the clinic. For an appointment, call 803-322-6636.
Days and location of clinics are:• York Family Resource Center, 37 Pinckney St., open Tuesdays.
• Clover Family Resource Center, 300 Clinton Ave., open Thursdays.
• Fort Mill Family Resource Center, 120 E. Elliott St., open Wednesdays.
• Rock Hill Family Resource Center, 410 E. Black St., open Fridays.
The clinic in Rock Hill will be open 8:30 a.m.-noon June 20, 28 and Aug. 8.
All clinics will be closed in July, reopen the week of Aug. 4 and resume the full-day schedule Aug. 11.

Summer reading program signups underway
YORK COUNTY Online registration is underway for the York County libraries summer reading program. The free program runs June 9-Aug. 1 for all ages.
