Children in Clover School District began a new school year Aug. 20.
Oakridge Middle School Principal Will Largen was among staff members welcoming students as they arrived before the 8:30 a.m. bell.
“Seeing the new and returning faces makes this an exciting time of year,” he said.
Eighth-grader Emily Rosanova was happy to be back at OMS.
“It’s really good,” she said. “They make learning fun here.”
Laureen Selby, teacher assistant, said greeting arriving students in the morning is the best part of her day.
“It’s better than coffee,” she said. “You start your day off with a smile and it’s just perfect.”
