First Baptist plans Brunch with Santa
YORK First Baptist Church, 102 S. Congress St., York, will have a Brunch with Santa from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at the fellowship hall.
Cost is $6 per child, which includes a picture with Santa, brunch, a craft and a Christmas story read by Santa.
Cost is also $6 for each adult, which includes the brunch only. Children younger than 6 must be with an adult.

LAKE WYLIE River Hills Community Church, 104 Hamilton’s Ferry Road, will offer A Quiet Christmas service at 5 p.m. Dec. 7.
This contemplative service is designed to offer promise, hope and comfort for those experiencing grief in this season of joyful celebration.

Ramah church women plan Old Salem trip
YORK The Women of Ramah Presbyterian Church on Ramah Church Road, York, are sponsoring a trip Dec. 13 to Old Salem in Winston Salem, N.C.
Participants can shop in downtown Lexington, N.C., and ride the Country Christmas Train in Denton, N.C.
The group will leave the church at 8:30 a.m. and return about 9 p.m. Cost is $75 for ages 12 and older and $68 for ages 4 to 11, which includes transportation and admission fees to events.

Flapjack fundraiser planned for Angel Tree Ministry
SHARON St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Woodlawn Street, Sharon, will have a flapjack fundraiser hosted by its Angel Tree Ministry from 8 to 10 a.m. Dec. 20 at Applebee’s, Dave Lyle Boulevard, Rock Hill.

Donate to Coats for Kids
LAKE WYLIE The Knights of Columbus Council and Respect for Life Ministry of All Saints Catholic Church are accepting donations for Coats for Kids to provide winter coats to children in need.
For $220, the groups can provide coats to 12 children in York County.
The Knights of Columbus began this initiative in 2009 to help families with children living in colder climates who were impacted by the economic downturn. Knights across the country have given away more than 167,000 coats. About 2,000 local Knights of Columbus councils have participated in their communities.
Last winter was a record year for the Order’s Coats for Kids program. During that time, 1,195 councils and the Supreme Council purchased and donated 51,924 coats.

Healing service at Good Samaritan
LAKE WYLIE The Divine Healing Ministry Chapter of the International Order of St. Luke holds a healing service 3 p.m. the fourth Saturday of the month at Good Samaritan United Methodist Church, 5220 Crowders Cove Road.
