Largemouth: Fair. Fishing with reaction type baits, such as crankbaits and jerkbaits, is slow. However, shaky head worms or other soft plastics fished slowly against boat docks are producing. Natural colors are good.
Crappie: Fair. Some anglers report that crappie are hard to find. Try looking in 18-20 feet over brush. Fish small minnows or jigs.
White Perch: Very good. White perch action continues to be hot, particularly at night and in the Crowders Creek area. Look for large schools in 18-24 feet, fishing live minnows vertically or small spoons.
Never miss a local story.
Catfish: Fair. Work deep water along river channels and ledges. Use cut bait including shad, perch, and herring.
