Someone drove through grass fields at Hickory Grove-Sharon Elementary School and caused an estimated $7,000 in damage.
The damage apparently happened March 2 when the school was closed because of snow, according to a York County Sheriff's Office report. The school also was closed March 3 because of weather and principal Dietrich Long said he was told of the damage after school resumed.
The fields beside and behind the school had multiple vehicle tracks and ruts, and mud was sprayed on a bench and a light pole, the report states.
There are no suspects.
