Family rallies around mom with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease

Chris Dingess, 33, and his wife Crystal spend their days taking care of his mother, Rita Alley, who was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 59. Alley’s daughter Amanda is also a caregiver. It’s an uncommon situation for Alzheimer’s patience, who typically rely on a single family member as caregiver.

Fort Mill’s new dog park opens on the Greenway

Ava, the beloved dog of the late Mary Warner Mack, was the first dog through the gate of the new park named in memory of Mack. Dozens of residents turned out for the park’s dedication Saturday and an open house to check out the facility.
