Lions award $6K scholarship
LAKE WYLIE Mary Elizabeth “Mollie” Trainer is the 2014 recipient of the River Hills Lions Club – Clover High School – Harold M. Brietman Memorial Scholarship. The $6,000 scholarship is payable annually at $1,500 for each four years.
The award is based on committed purpose, academics, financial need, and school and community involvement and work experience. She was selected by Lions Deb Dagilis, Bill Dillon, Jerry Epping, Dick Krewson and Liz Muller.
Trainer was a member of student council and National Honor Society, cheerleader and president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She also worked as a nanny and waitress. Her volunteer experience ranged from leading kindergarten age group at church, serving patients’ needs at a pain rehab center to participating in a mission trip to Kenya. She also plays violin.

The daughter of Tony and Kim Trainer, she will attend North Greenville University pursuing a degree in pediatric nursing to qualify as a physcian’s assistant. She plans to use her medical knowledge to serve children in Kenya and elsewhere.
