CBS Lake Wylie has participants from Clover, Fort Mill, Tega Cay, Rock Hill, Belmont and Steele Creek, and is open to everyone. Classes meet from 9 to 11:15 a.m. Wednesdays for 30 weeks, September to May.

Church to hold Financial Peace U.
STEELE CREEK Christ the King Church, 13501 S. Tryon St., will hold Financial Peace University class beginning Sept. 7.
The class is designed to help participants to get out of debt, build wealth and give like never before.

Family Nights begin Sept. 10
LAKE WYLIE River Hills Community Church, 104 Hamilton’s Ferry Road, will host Family Night 6:15-7 p.m. Wednesday beginning Sept. 10 in the church Life Center.
The church will host focused time around the dinner table with a short lesson and activity for the entire family. Some Family Nights will last a little longer and offer events such as a cookout and movie under the stars, trunk or treat or a bonfire.
Other nights, dinner will come from restaurants such as Jim ‘N Nick’s BBQ Restaurant, Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina and Olive Garden Italian Restaurant.
Dinner costs $5 for adults and ages 11 and older, and $3 for ages 11 and younger.

Christ the King posts upcoming events
STEELE CREEK Christ the King, 13501 S. Tryon St., will host the Beth Moore Living Proof Live simulcast on Sept. 13.
Moore is a speaker and author of best-selling Bible studies and other books for women.

The church will hold a free Community Clothing Closet 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 11 giving clothing for infants, children and adults.

Oldies But Goodies Dance Sept. 26
LAKE WYLIE All Saints Knights of Columbus presents the fourth annual Oldies But Goodies Dance 7-10 p.m. Sept. 26 at River Hills Marina Pavilion featuring music by DJ Frankie the K.
Snacks and soft drinks will be served. There will be raffles, door prizes and 50-50 drawings.
Tickets cost $15. Seating is limited. Advanced tickets may be purchased at the church after Mass Sept. 13 and Sept. 20, at Bagel Boat and by calling 803-504-5040.

Dine for H.O.P.E.
LAKE WYLIE The Waffle House-Lake Wylie and Knights of Columbus of All Saints Council No. 14475 are raising money for Operation HOPE (Helping Other People Everyday), a statewide campaign to help people with intellectual disabilities.
