Clover chamber plans holiday weekend events
The weekend will begin with the Merry Market, a Christmas craft event, 2-8 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Larne Building.
The town’s annual Christmas tree lighting will be at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 5 with music by All of a Kind, a visit from Santa and refreshments.
Families activities will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Clover Community Center, 120 Bethel St., including Mrs. Claus reading “The Night Before Christmas,” and crafts
The town of Clover will present Movies in the Park, featuring the movie “Elf,” at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 at New Centre Park. There also will be a roasted marshmallow candy bar.
The chamber’s annual Christmas parade, with the theme A Rock’n Christmas, will be at 3 p.m. Dec. 7 in the downtown area.

Boat parade Dec. 13 on Wylie
A new addition this year, Christmas by the Lake, will include warming huts with free cocoa and hot cider, Christmas music, a luminaria release to kick off the boat parade and a visit from a special guest.
Food and monetary donations will be accepted by the Clover Area Assistance Center.
In addition, unwrapped toys for children of all ages will be accepted for Santa’s Sleigh in the chamber’s warming hut.
The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Buster Boyd Bridge at T-Bones. A captains meeting will be at 6 p.m.
An entry form and a check for $20 should be sent to Lake Wylie Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 5233, Lake Wylie, SC 29710 by Registration deadline is Dec. 11. Late and same-day registration is $25.
