The Clover Parks and Recreation Department is ready for the approaching youth basketball season.
“All of the drafts have been completed and teams in all divisions are currently practicing,” said Josh McCarter, youth basketball program coordinator for Clover. “Everything is falling into place.”
McCarter even has enough coaches.
“With several volunteer coaches willing to devote their time, we no longer have any coaching vacancies,” he said.
Never miss a local story.
McCarter looks for youth basketball participation, boys and girls, to continue its trend. “We are in the process of putting schedules together for all of the divisions,” said McCarter.
The 10U boys, 9U girls, 8U boys and 6U coed participants got an early start on practice, with teams in the remaining divisions catching up this week.

The rest of the teams start Jan. 10.
Games will be played at the Clover Middle School gym, both Clover High School gyms and the Oakridge Middle School gym.
