Troop 108 Scout makes Eagle
CLOVER R.K. Knight, 14, with Boy Scout Troop 108, earned his Eagle award Oct. 6 and celebrated Dec 6.
For his project, he built a 20-by-24 play yard with a swing set, fort and picnic table at Bowling Green First Baptist Church.
Knight is freshman at the Clover High School.

Women’s luncheon Dec. 17
LAKE WYLIE River Hills Women’s Club luncheon is Dec. 17 at River Hills Country Club.
Social hour begins at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch and the program at 1 p.m.
The Carolina Voices will perform holiday music. Carolina Voices has performed for audiences for 60 years with its Singing Christmas Tree. The group supports and promotes excellence in choral music.

Shrine club dinner, dance Dec. 20
ROCK HILL The York County Crescent Shrine Club will hold a dinner and dance fundraiser at 6 p.m. Dec. 20 at 2065 McConnells Highway.
Too Much Sylvia will perform.
Dinner is rib-eye steak, $15 or chicken breast, $13. A cash bar and appetizers will be available.
Dinner will be served 6-8 p.m. Dancing is 8 p.m.-midnight. Dance cover is $10.

4-H Night at the Time Warner Cable Arena
YORK York County 4-H Night is Jan. 17 at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte.
Tipoff is at 7 p.m. with Hornets vs. Indiana Pacers.
Tickets start at $22.50, with $5 going to York County 4-H.
The 4-H group to sell the most tickets will hold the giant American flag during the national anthem. The top three counties clubs will come an hour before the general public to watch pregame shoot-around from the first five rows.
