Sherer Memorial Presbyterian Church, one of the oldest churches in the area, received a facelift last week as workers replaced the roof at 4800 Charlotte Hwy. Pastor Rick Lindsay expected the work to be complete early this week. The latest upkeep on the 20-year-old building, the third building used by the church, will be on display June 6-7 when the church celebrates its 125-year anniversary.
