It'll be a bluegrass and gospel afternoon as the Master's Men hold their fundraiser from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the High Point Free Will Baptist Church in Lancaster.
Food will be sold and a $6 donation will be asked for at the door.
"We're going to have hamburgers, hotdogs, cornbread, soup, chips and soft drinks," said Tony Shehane, the club's president.
There also will be entertainment. CrossHeirs, Thompson Creek, Toby Creek, Easy Pickin' and New Fire will be playing all afternoon.
"The oldest member in New Fire is 17 years old," Shehane said. "They are good."
Shehane is extremely passionate about this fundraiser.
"There are 12 to 14 members of the Master's Men," Shehane said. "Throughout the year, we help the needy, elderly, and missionaries."
Last year, they built a handicap ramp.
"We always do the labor ourselves, we never charge for it," Shehane said. "We do it because we love to do it and we're able to do it."
It's now a family tradition.
"My kids and grandkids will be helping our club," Shehane said. "They're going ot make sure we have a good time, good food, and good service."
The club will be having another fundraiser in the fall.
Shehane hopes the fundraiser will have a good turnout.
"I think $6 is a reasonable price for five hours of great bluegrass music and to help people out," he said.
"I think a good time will be had by all."
The church is located at 2095 Great Falls Hwy., Lancaster.
