Teel is a ‘PaceSetter’
Jason Teel of Couch Braunsdorf Insurance Group in Fort Mill recently became a member of a select group of State Auto independent agents, the PaceSetter agents.
In the coming months, State Auto sales personnel will work closely with PaceSetter agents, like Teel, in forming a sales alliance and providing professional assistance and feedback. State Auto operates in 43 states and is rated A, or Excellent, by A.M. Best Company, and independent rater of insurance companies.
Christian network in top 10

Indian Land-based INSP ranks in the top 10 in all categories of audience growth (comparing January 2012 with Jan. 2013) according to data from the Nielsen Company said David Cerullo, chairman and CEO of the Christian broadcast network.
The data compares viewing levels from all networks receiving daily ratings from Nielsen. In total, one hundred ten (110) networks (including both English and Spanish-language networks) had ratings throughout the year from Jan. 2012 through Jan. 2013.
Data reveals that, for the month of Jan. 2013, INSP ranked sixth in growth percentage in 24 hour household ratings among all networks receiving daily Nielsen ratings and seventh in 24 hour impressions growth.

Elder law expert holds workshop
A free workshop on documents needed in the event of death or incapacity will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 8, at the York County Library on Black Street in Rock Hill.
“Getting Old is Not for Sissies” will be conducted by Mitchell Payne of Warner, Payne & Black. Payne is a founding member of the Carolina’s Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, a charter member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners, and a member of the elder law committee for the South Carolina Bar. He’ll give an overview of wills, and documents for power of attorney and healthcare power of attorney and why they’re important.
Handouts will be provided and books on the topic will be available for checkout. Participants are asked to register in advance at familytrust.org/knowyourdough or by calling James Sheedy at 326-2187.

PMC named ‘hospital of the year’
The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control has named Rock Hill’s Piedmont Medical Center the state’s “Distinguished Hospital of the Year.”
The award, given last weekend by the American Heart/Stroke Association “Get With the Guidelines” program, goes to a hospital each year that has made significant improvements in caring for patients with cardiovascular disease and strokes.
PMC last won the award in 2010.
The hospital is a 288-bed facility on Herlong Avenue in Rock Hill. PMC opened in 1983.
