Bravo! to cast, crew
If you attended the recent production of “Annie Get Your Gun” at Nation Ford High School count yourself fortunate. If not, you really missed great performances by the cast and tech crew.
What few of you know is of the incredible amount of perseverance from the teachers, kids and volunteers that it took to pull this play together. The setbacks were numerous – loosing a week of rehearsal due to the snow, personal loss, and when the one of only two scheduled dress rehearsals would take place the school was closed due to bad weather again. The cast and crew kept their eye on the prize and had only one full dress rehearsal before the play opened.
There are so many people to thank, but foremost is to the wonderful theater teacher Cheri Addison and to the orchestra teacher Dr. Ramsey. The costumes were perfection due to teacher Mrs. White and parent Mrs. Ream, props Mrs. Hoffman and other parents that organized sponsorships (thank you to the local businesses that helped support us), volunteers and concessions. These people work full-time day jobs and then worked countless hours into the night.
This is just one more reason why I love Fort Mill and the people living here – they always rally to get the job completed.
