You can have your ‘smart phone’
I just purchased a brand new cell phone, in red for $35. It is called either a “flip” or a “clamshell” type and the majority of Americans have not used these in years. It has two amazing functions!
1. It rings. I answer it and speak to the caller.
2. I dial. It rings and I speak to whomever I want to chat with.
Never miss a local story.
I have no ability to text or to Tweet, no Facebook either. But, I have honed an excellent command of the English language starting in grade school and long ago mastered cursive writing too. I would never exchange these skills for a smartphone that deprives me of those abilities!
From my observations it appears that a large majority of grade school and high school kids growing up today will perform miserably throughout in their careers in conversational skills as well as their ability to write a proper letter. And never had I had the need to use the word “like” more than once or twice a day.
