Fort Mill Elementary School just finished its annual Boosterthon Fun Run to support school activities, which raised more than $29,000 this year.
Students get per lap pledges for a run at the school and administrators at FMES made students a deal: If students got at least one pledge from all 50 states, they could duct tape the principal and assistant principal to a wall.
With a day of pledges to go, students lacked only Montana. The school put out a call for anyone who knew someone in the Treasure State.
The pledge arrived. Principal Jeanette Black and Assistant Principal Jocelyn Young spent dismissal Friday stuck to a wall. Despite their pleading with students for food and help getting down, the administrators didn’t spend all weekend there. They were back on the floor before the last student left.
No thanks to Montana.
