Nation Ford failed to stop the run, allowing the Ridge View Blazers to run away with a 48-40 win.
Junior quarterback Cole Martin threw three interceptions for Nation Ford, two of which were returned for touchdowns.
The Falcons also gave up 415 yards on the ground as Ridge View’s Shemar Hinson gained 292 yards on 32 carries.
Martin and junior Hank Tuipulotu connected twice in the fourth quarter for touchdowns but couldn’t rally the Falcons enough to get the win. Martin threw for six touchdowns for the second straight game. Tuipulotu caught 12 passes for 155 yards and Jordan Helms caught 16 for 127.

Nation Ford got a break near the end of the third quarter as senior Keion Jones intercepted the ball and returned it across midfield to the 12-yard line for the Falcons. Martin then hit Helms two plays later to give Nation Ford its only score of the third quarter.
The Falcons struggled some moving the ball to start the second quarter as the Blazers’ defense blitzed on nearly every possession. That eventually led to Martin being intercepted as he threw into double coverage at one point.
Nation Ford had no answer early in stopping the run as Hinson moved the ball at will. Hinson had runs of 22 and 12 yards before Dejuan Warren powered his way into the Blazers’ red zone with a 14-yard run of his own. Butler scored two plays later to extend the Ridge View lead by 13 points.
Martin bounced back as he hit Helms on a big 30-yard pick-up and Tuipulotu on a 19-yard pick-up to move the chains for Nation Ford on their next drive. He the connected for his second touchdown of the game as the Falcons clawed their way back.
Just when Nation Ford seemed back into the game, the defense gave up an 80-yard touchdown run to Marcus Reaster-Glover on the first play from scrimmage for the Blazers.
Ridge View’s defensive pressure continued to flush Martin out of the pocket, where he threw his second interception of the night with Dinchie Ashe cashing in on a 98-yard pick six to extend the Blazers’ lead to 35-14 through the second quarter.
The Falcons closed the gap before the half as they put together an 11-play drive ending their third touchdown of the first half.
Nation Ford made a big defensive stop in the opening series against Ridge View, forcing them to punt.
Ridge View double-teamed Tuipulotu early on in the game, and the Blazers’ defense was able to stop Nation Ford on its first drive.
The Blazers’ second drive was more productive as Hinson ran right up the middle untouched on a 50-yard score on third down, putting Ridge View on the board.
The initial kickoff was nearly 60 yards, giving the Falcons good starting position on the second drive of the first quarter starting at the Blazers’ 39-yard line.
Martin threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to score Nation Ford’s first touchdown of the game. The drive went just four plays with the help of a 17-yard reception from Tuipulotu to put the Falcons in the red zone.
With about 3:30 left in the first quarter, Ridge View started at the Falcons’ 45-yard line after a punt that was almost blocked, which ended up with freshman punter Skyler DeLong being hit hard on the kick, forcing him to be carted off on a stretcher.
The Blazers kept the ball moving as Hinson had big runs of 13 and 18 yards before Butler ran it in from five yards out ending a seven-play drive and giving Ridge View the lead.
