Four teams came to the scales with hopes of having the biggest fish of the night Aug. 14 during the Thursday Night Tournament Trail.
“Rob Johnson’s 5.10-pounder took the big fish money,” said Erwin Gaston, co-organizer of the weekly trail with Jeremy Cabe.
James Clemmons and Rick Carson won the tournament of 40 teams.
“They were able to scrape up five fish that weighed in a 15.30 pounds,” Gaston said.
Second place went to Jason Powell and Clay Stevens with a weight of 12.03 pounds.
“We have two more tournaments to go before the fish off, and it looks to be shaping up to be a blast,” Gaston said.
The weekly trail continues through the end of August with the fish off Sept. 5-6. Registration is at 5:20 p.m each Thursday at Buster Boyd Access Area.
Blast off is at 6:30 p.m. Entry fees cost $40 per boat. Trail sponsors are Academy Sports, Kangaroo Express and A-1 Adams Bail Bond.
